This resort is our new favorite. What a gorgeous setting and the people who manage it are so courteous and accommodating. I called while we were on the way to see if we could check in an hour early. We had reserved a standard site, but in order to accommodate another party, the manager asked us if we wouldn't mind switching to a lake front with all the bells and whistles and they would pay the difference. Who could say no to that? It was incredible; a huge deck/seating area with built in BBQ, sink, oven, fire pit, etc. We were happy. The resort is maintained nicely, with squeaky clean restrooms/showers. They even pick up your trash once a day. The kids enjoyed the pool and I had my eye on the tennis court (just not enough time). The only thing that could have been better was the Wi-Fi. We couldn't pick it up from our site because of the trees. All sites are owned; some were for sale. They're all very large and wide to fit any size plus vehicles and toys. The manager gave us a tour with no pressure and patiently answered our questions. We didn't buy one, but we will definitely return!
We were really looking forward to this resort based on previous reviews. However, we were very disappointed. Many of the spaces are owned and others are for sale. A realtor brought some buyers to the spot we were in while we were there without even asking us...and promptly put up a sold sign. The "owners" of other spots glared at us like we were dirt. They were extremely snobby and were constantly polishing their rigs after daily thunderstorms. You would think with a rate of $64/day the bathrooms would be clean. They were not; especially the men's bathroom and shower area. Also, many of the ammenities are for OWNERS ONLY as signs are posted such as the exercise room and lounge area. If you have children, be prepared to recieve the "evil eye" if they are playing outside. The patio table on our site (327) was broken. Our reservation was for 6 nights, but we wished it had been shorter. You cannot recieve a refund for any days if you check out early. We will not return.
A great over night stop. Large, paved sites and clean bathrooms/showers. No picnic tables or play ground, but the Wi-Fi worked fine. We would stay here again.
We loved this campground. The staff was friendly and helpful, the showers were clean, and the kids loved the playground. The first night we had some noisy neighbors, and there is no phone number or security during the night. However, the next morning we mentioned it to management and they took care of it. The park's location is perfect for walking through town and very close to west entrance to Yellowstone. We would stay again.
A beautiful park nestled in the woods. The kids loved the playground which was large and fairly new. We enjoyed the open space; enough to throw a frisbee. The Wi-Fi worked fine, and the location of the park is great. We went to the pancake breakfast and it was really good. The staff was really friendly and when my daughter asked the cashier if they found $3 she had lost (from the tooth fairy) the cashier GAVE her $3 to make her feel better! My only complaint(s) would be the lack of bathroom and shower facilities. This is a very large park, and does not have nearly enough facilities; nor were they clean. Also, the dumpsters were overflowing for days and there was nowhere to put our garbage. Even so, we still liked it.
This was an OK overnight stop. The bathrooms and showers were clean, but dated. Gravel and dirt, trees, picnic tables, and ice cream socials in the evening. We pulled in late (after 8) and asked the next morning if we could check out at noon instead of 11:00, but were told no because they needed to clean and prepare the site for the next arrival. Clean what??
We had so much fun at this campground. The kids enjoyed an awesome playground, and there was a lot of open space for them to run around. The vicinity to Devil's Tower was perfect. Each night there was a camp fire in the "big" fire pit area which was nice. Also, we enjoyed watching, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" on the big screen which they show nightly. There were shops and a restaurant on site, and the W-Fi worked fine. The bathrooms were okay. We would stay again.
A good overnight stop. We arrived late, but there was an envelope waiting for us. The manager was really nice; he gave our kids a ride in his golf cart which they thought was great. Clean bathrooms and showers. We would stay again.
We camped here with four small children. The park was clean and well maintained, but the spots were dirt, not paved. There are no pull-throughs, so you have to back in. There was plenty of room for our 36' motorhome and toad. The only negative was the group of people behind us were extremely loud, and we called security twice the first night and then once again the second night. They finally quieted down, but it was well after 11:00 P.M. You do hear some road noise at night, but not too bad. You can have campfires in the fire pit, which a lot of people took advantage of. The best thing about this campground is the location. You can walk right to the beach, pier and local shops. We will return!
Very upscale RV Resort! The sites are HUGE with lots of space in between. The grounds are maintained like a golf course. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. The only thing that would have been better is if there were more showers. There are only two for the women and two for the men. We could also hear a train during the night, but it wasn't too loud. We will be back!
The sites are a little tight, but we were able to squeeze in our toad in front of the motor home. The location is great; right on the river. The bathrooms could use some updating and cleaning. They would best be described as rustic. Because of the river, it was worthwhile. We will probably try another place next time.
We arrived after hours but called ahead and the staff left us an envelope taped to their door. The park was VERY clean and convenient. Since it was right off I-5, we could hear some freeway noise but not too bad. Nice, long paved driveways although a little narrow. Plenty of room for the motor home and the van behind it. The bathrooms/showers were sparkling clean. The best part was that we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The park was practically empty. A great overnight stop.
The hosts were great! He gave me a quick tour in a golf cart so I could pick our spot. The entire staff was friendly and always smiling. The roads are paved and there are mature pines everywhere. Just steps outside our spot was a forest trail that goes along the river. A short walk takes you to some beautiful waterfalls and fishing holes. Clean showers and bathrooms. We'll be back!
